Last week we posed the question Should businesses broadcast that they are Black-owned? Some people say yes and others disagree. Now let’s take it one step further. Recently Russel Simmons did an interview with DJ Vlad and he spoke about the lack of power Blacks have in Hollywood and one way to remedy it. He made an interesting point that Blacks should befriend the White power brokers in the industry. Though he was talking Hollywood we can use this argument in a bigger conversation and think of it across any industry. So what do you think, should Blacks look at trying to integrate more to move up or should we focus more on supporting each other to try to get to higher power positions?
