Do you give your kids an allowance or intend on it in the future?  If so, do you think you should have any say as to what they do with their allowance or are they able to spend it however they choose?

Well one mom in Georgia is causing quite the debate with her Facebook post which has gone viral on just this same thing. Courtesy of The Grio, Essence Evans gives her daughter a $7 weekly allowance but takes back $5 as part of rent and other household expenses such as utilities and groceries. As you can imagine people have mixed feelings on this ranging from she’s taking the fun out of her daughter being a child to she’s preparing her daughter for the real world.
